Spike's Video Game Awards are vastly approaching on December 11th and with that, more and more company's are teasing trailer releases.  As of this moment, there are rumors speculations that the following trailers will be shown at these awards:

Long awaited gameplay footage of Batman: Arkham City is said to be showing.  Hopefully, this will showcase new characters such as Cat Woman, 2-Face and other villains.

Bioware is said to show off a secret project – I’m Hoping for another Sonic for the DS but in all realness, the will be showing off Mass Effect 3.   With Mass Effect 2 coming to the PS3 in January 2011, it only seems fit to finish the story on the 2 consoles at the same time in 2012.

It wouldn’t be a Spike event if CliffyB didn’t show up promoting Gears of War 3.  Hopefully the rumors are not true about GoW3 being Kinectable but if this announcement is made then my TV is turning off.

Lastly, Playstation has announced the day following the VGA’s they will be announcing a new 1st party title which we are all hoping it’s Uncharted 3.  It would have been a good idea to…..you know.   Air the trailer when you have pretty much every video game fan watching but what do I know.

These are the listings that I know of.  There is still a TON of trailers that will be shown, probably from Nintendo and maybe some Max Pain 3 but keep in mind, there will be some trailers that will make you face palm.

In closing, I just want to say that the award part is pretty lame and I for one will be looking forward to all the trailer announcements.  If you’re lucky enough to be going to the show, well I hate you and wish you all the best.

That's pretty much all the VGA's are good for is cool new trailers. Still, I hope at least a couple deserving developers take home awards, like the folks over at Double Fine.
