I like how whoever put together this Call of Duty: Black Ops trailer inserted an abrupt "Treyarch Production" title card in the middle of all the action (~0:55), as if to ask, "Infinity who?"

Video Blips:

• With all that Halo: Reach beta you've been playing, you didn't forget about little old Call of Duty, did you? This time around, Activision put "Vietnam," "The Middle East," and "World War 2" into a hat and...well, guess which war they pulled out. [GameTrailers]

Continue after the break for a destructive Picross 3D commercial, some chatty Alpha Protocol gameplay, and footage of the battle system in Xenoblade for Wii.

• Extra! Extra! Middle-aged witch women terrorize downtown Los Angeles via magic video game! Are they really playing Picross 3D, or is it some kind of building-destroying game of mass destruction? [GameVideos]

• Alpha Protocol has an interesting gameplay feature where you choose the tone and actions of your character when he speaks. I wonder how often the "headslam" option comes up in normal conversation. [GameTrailers]

Why can't the Xenoblade people pick on enemies their own size? Then again, their jumbo, novelty-sized weapons are kind of proportionate to the giant monsters. [Destructoid]

Hmmmm- Xenoblade looks like a Monster Hunter clone with a JRPG infusion. Interesting.
