Super Meat Boy has quite possibly the best intro parody ever.

Video Blips:

• Super Meat Boy looks like an exciting blend of LocoRoco and World of Goo. All you have to do is switch out the cute little blobs for a cute slab of raw meat. [GameTrailers]

Continue after the break for the back story and design influences of Brutal Legend, an 8-bit style No More Heroes 2 side mission, and shaky camera footage of Ninety-Nine Nights 2.

• Here's a nifty featurette that looks at the world of Brutal Legend and where a lot of the influences for it came from. It's nice to know they've done their homework. [GameTrailers]

• No More Heroes 2 goes all retro for this coconut-collecting level. Remember though, people dying or getting seriously injured from falling coconuts is no joke, 8-bit or not. [GameVideos]

• Ninety-Nine Nights 2 is looking pretty epic even with the hand-held camera footage. We found this trailer being sold on dvd, five-for-five bucks down at the swap meet. [GameVideos]

I keep getting the feelings that Brütal Legend is a Acid Trip that Schafer had in the mid-80's. And why no 100 Nights?

Sounds right!

I cannot wait for Super Meat Boy but it is going to PISS ME THE HELL OFF just like the first one did. Oh well.
