Why Would You Want an N64 Emulator for the iPhone?

If you are crazy enough to jailbreak your iPhone, you're probably crazy enough to want to run emulators on it. If that's the case, ZodTTD has you covered [via MaxConsole]:

ZodTTD is responsible for the GBA emulator designed for the iPhone, and they are busy working on an N64 emulator to follow suit. The only catch is that only the 3GS and newest iPod Touches have the processing power to handle such an emulator.

You guys and your fancy devices.... Those of us with lame 3G phones will enjoy our legal games for now.

WOW! so much power in such a little thing... maybe certain analysts were right, the biggest threat to mobile gaming is actually from the iphone - but if emulators means hacking, I wonder what that means to developers who are in these byte size gaming markets?

Picturing in my mind what controlling Starcraft 64 on the iPhone might be like makes me want to vomit and/or say "giggity giggity."

Sure, you can run these games, but how the heck are you going to control them?

Motion controls? That would be hard as hell to play Mario Kart that way.

Actually Dan, there are racing games on the iPhone that use accelerometer controls that work well when done right. So, it's not impossible for Mario Kart 64 to play well, that's not saying that it's likely.

Acually in some countries people have to jailbreak iphones in order to use them because of the carrier lock.
