If Duke Nukem Forever had come out years ago, I wouldn't have cared. But now that its on-again, off-again development may be finally switched to "on," I just gave myself a Duke-worthy flat top in anticipation.
News Blips:
It took Forever, but the new Duke Nukem may be re-revealed at PAX. Rumor has it that Gearbox Software -- responsible for last year's Borderlands -- has taken over the reigns for Duke Nukem Forever, and that the game will be unveiled during PAX in Seattle. And just when I had finally accepted that this game was never coming out... [Kotaku]
L.A. Noire is finally delayed to next year. It took Rockstar long enough to fess up: Their upcoming open-world title L.A. Noire won't be released in 2010. But don't despair! The game is now schedule to come out in the first half of 2011. [Joystiq]
Resident Evil 6 may be closer than we think. Resident Evil 5 took a long time to make -- we waited four long years for it after Resident Evil 4. It looks like Resident Evil 6 may not take as long, as Capcom's Keiji Inafune recently said, "Given the great success which led to us Resident Evil 5, we want Resident Evil 6 to hit the market as soon as possible. In fact, Capcom will have news about this soon..." I would guess that news will come at the Tokyo Game Show later this month. [1UP]
Super Mario All-Stars coming to the Wii...in Japan. The original Super Mario All-Stars for the Super Nintendo featured all of Mario's NES adventures with updated graphics. This new version for the Wii will reportedly come with a booklet detailing the series' history, plus a CD featuring music from the original Super Mario Bros. all the way up to Super Mario Galaxy 2. No word on a release outside of Japan. [Kotaku]
