I bet you the folks at Gearbox Software originally intended to release Duke Nukem Forever in June but said May instead so they could pull one last cruel joke on fans.

Video Blips:

• Duke Nukem Forever is the abusive asshole that we keep going back to. We think, "Oh, maybe he'll change. Maybe he'll different this time." Then once he gets our trust back, Duke goes right back to his old ways. In other words, the game is delayed...again.

Continue after the break for a preview of Patapon 3, the introduction of the sultry Katarina in Dungeon Siege 3, and another behind-the-scenes peek at Back to the Future: The Game.

• Patapon 3 might have a ton of new features, but I'm pretty sure the central game mechanic remains the same. Play the digital drums to command your troops, and if you lose your sense of rhythm under pressure (or if you have no rhythm in general), you'll get frustrated as hell trying to beat the game.

• Dungeon Siege 3's Katarina attacks with an array of guns that shoot magical bullets. I presume that her shoes are also infused with magic -- which would explain how she can adventure in heels for hours on end. [GameTrailers]

• Check out how the kid who does Marty McFly’s voice in Back to the Future: The Game convinced actress Claudia Wells, who played love interest Jennifer Parker in the movies, to join the project. Apparently, hitting on an older woman by telling her “We gotta go back to the future!” is a great pickup line. [GameTrailers]
