We've always found it silly when developers say you can finish their game in XX amount of hours. How do they calculate that exactly? And what if the player pauses the game for an extended amount of time. Like when you really need to take a...err, ahem, anyway...

News Blips:

• Finish Splinter Cell: Conviction in 12 hours unless it takes you shorter/longer. Creative Director Maxime Beland told gaming mag OXM that you can finish the upcoming stealth action game in about 12 hours. Why such an exact number? Oh, it's arbitrary, of course. We expect to beat it in 12 minutes, actually. Because we're that damn good. [OXM]

• No more No More Heroes for Wii after upcoming No More Heroes. Grasshopper head hero Goichi Suda told Edge that the upcoming Wii sequel to No More Heroes will be the last game in the series to appear on Nintendo's console due to the fact that it has nothing more to offer. Oh, snap is right. Especially since Microsoft's newfangled Project Natal is the reason he's saying this. We agree: Waggle is soooo 2006. [1UP]

• Throw away your key: Tekken 6 will have no unlockables. Some people like unlocking crap in fighting games. Some makers of said fighting games do not. Like Tekken series director Katsuhiro Harada. That's why Tekken 6 won't have any of that. We'd complain about this, but, hell, we'd be lying. And we never lie. [videogamer]

• Unreal Engine awesome at metal. Hair? Not so much. Gears of War designer CliffyB let us know why space marines hate hair -- the Unreal Engine just sucks at it. He told Develop, "The tech is good at showing off amour and it’s not that good at doing hair. That’s why we have bald space marines." And all this time we thought it was a fashion statement. Lame! [Develop]

Hit the jump for some video blips, including a look inside the wacky prison of Batman: Arkham Asylum, another hellish Dante's Inferno trailer, nerdy Zelda shoes, and...more.

Video Blips:

• Arkham Asylum is crazy. That's probably why they called it an asylum.

Â

• Hell, another Dante's Inferno trailer. Looks beautifully ugly, though.

Â

• Another ninja chick in Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2? Sure, why not?

Â

Cultural Blip:

• Kick Ganon's ass with these nerdy shoes. If you think your sneakers need some sprucing up, commission these Zelda-inspired kicks. Just don't sport these with tights, please. [Offworld]

Has anyone heard if Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 is going to be an exact port? Or perhaps it will be slightly debugged? Or more finely tuned?

And Female Ninjas are very intriguing...

I believe Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 is a port with a bunch of extra side stuff...like the ability to play as that new ninja chick in the video above.

@Michael - Thanks, and I am surprised you are getting away with saying "ninja chick" ;)

Quote Itagaki "It's just rock and roll."

So its cooler if you don't know her name.

Quote Seanbaby: "Do you dingle dangle banana man penguin time?"

I don't know why. It seems relevant.

guess Cliffy B will always make bald guys. Wonder if he will ever go bald himself to promote this.

Okay, I was weirded out for a second there when you wrote "no unlockables in Tekken 6." When I read the actual article, I assume he means "no unlockable characters", and not that all of the costumes and items will be readily available for each character from the get-go.
