Can we all agree that recontextualizing lullabies for scary games -- like Dead Space 2 -- is a bit trite these days?

Video Blips:

• The latest Dead Space 2 trailer shows off a nightmarish, monster-filled subway area. This is exactly what life feels like for city people trying to commute during rush hour.

After the break, find the trailer for imaginative Create, a Call of Duty: Black Ops commercial with an eclectic cast, and a preview of the Epic Games-produced Infinity Blade for the iOS platform.

• EA's Create is the kind of video game Rube Goldberg would have designed if he were alive today. In other words, it's kinda like the board game Mouse Trap...but without the bullshit dice rolling and piece moving.

• This ad teases that the next time you play Call of Duty: Black Ops, you just might be up against Kobe Bryant and Jimmy Kimmel. Nevermind the fact that whoever's on the other side of the headset sounds like they've yet to go through puberty.

• Infinity Blade follows the general rule of thumb set forth by the Final Fantasy series: In order to kill giant beasts, your sword must be at least three feet long. [GameTrailers]

You can say that again about recontextualizing lullabies for scary games. Enough is enough. It's even worse when the end of the trailer invites people to recontextualize lullabies on their own over Twitter. Why spread the disease? Why?

Nice ad, but I could see it having some controversy for some stupid reason.
