I'm looking forward to racking up Facial points in Bulletstorm's intriguing system of rewarding players for flashy kills. It's not what you think, pervert: They're achieved by slugging an explosive into an enemy's face.
Video Blips:
• Bulletstorm producer Tanya Jesson walks us through the game's stylish combat, including an introduction to the wickedly fun-looking Bouncer Cannon. It's described as a "portable cannon gun." Gee, that sounds familiar.
Continue after the break for a Fallout: New Vegas dev diary, a Tokyo Game Show trailer for Final Fantasy: Dissidia 012, and an overview of the Action Point Battle System in Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light.
• The developers of Fallout: New Vegas touch upon the game's technology and sound design. They also appear to be stranded in the middle of a bleak desert. I suppose new levels of coercion are needed these days to get developers talking about their games.
• I have no idea what the gravelly-voiced narrators of this Final Fantasy: Dissidia 012 trailer are saying. The actual gameplay looks pretty cool, barring a seizure induced by the exploding colors and flashing lights of battle.
• After viewing this short guide on Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light's Action Point Battle System, you'll be a pro. Or, you can play how I do: press random buttons wildly until I win. It's worked for me across all game genres so far.
