Watching footage of Gran Turismo 5 is almost like looking out the window on a scenic road trip. Minus the motion sickness.

Video Blips:

• In this Gran Turismo 5 producer interview, Kazunori Yamauchi notes it has taken 5 years to make the game so far. Coincidence? We think not. It also took that much time for the first game. [GameTrailers]

Continue after the break for a futuristic new vehicle from Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight, footage of a PS3/360 Fist of the North Star video game, and the fanciness that is the CryEngine 3 game engine.

• The technology in Comand and Conquer series just continues to get more and more advanced. What about going backwards to the hunter-and-gatherer times? [GameVideos]

• Apparently Koei Tecmo is making a Fist of the North Star video game. HD graphics for a game based on an anime from the 1980s? Time for some heads to explode! [Kotaku]

• Nothing says CryEngine 3 advanced game engine like trance music. Seriously though, do you think the old man is sad because he's nostalgic for the Pong days? [GameTrailers]

The guy who heads the GT franchise (can't remember his name right now) recently said that they could release GT5 at any time, they just didn't want to. It struck me as someone who is addicted to drugs or something similar to that. I honestly believe that the guy is never going to release the game because he is always going to try to go back and fix or change something. He is going to be found in a room with tissue boxes on his feet and jars of urine lining the walls like Howard Hughes or Mr. Burns in the hilarious episode of The Simpsons, "$pringfield."

@Patrick, in that case I hope they program the Spruce Moose into the game. "I said, hop, (click) in."
